mostly curious as to what's up with Allen being all villain-coded near the end, there.
Seems ...well, seems like an annoyance for Weiss & Co., honestly.

Though if I had to guess, he'll probably come out swinging on Weiss about "hurting Shirley" or something, and it'll be up to Shirley to decide if she'll let prejudice and presumption win out over the fact that Weiss came in and saver her ass--or if she'll actually remember her dreams for a world of equality, and stop Allen from doing something silly like starting a PvP fight in the middle of the woods.
To give you some expectation.

It is going to be epic.

Alright, three fake-out deaths of the same character in a row is just bad writing. Either commit to it or move on—this is just getting frustrating.

I think is more he hates Weiss like others are saying but not all. I presume he saw Duke down with Weiss with the sword down like is going to stab him and is furious.

In same time when he act that demon wolf will try target Shirley and I guess he save her by switching the target as reaction to the danger.

This is my guess. I dont read anything ahead.

Allen's turn
Allen’s turn to charge in and watch Weiss save his girl from the front row, you mean.

How does that saying go again? Was it: “If your girl falls for someone else in the woods, and nobody is there to see it, is it really NTR?”

Wasn't Cynthia partnered with Allen for this exercise? Why is (presumably) Allen shaded like a creepy villain?

Cause he hates Weiss and throughout the series he's had flashes of going weird yandere slasher nutty-cuckoo. I don't know if it's meant to be that he's just always been a nutter or that Weiss' rejection of the game plot is forcing the world to rebalance by making the hero into the psycho one or what.

they are ALWAYS thorough in disposing enemies, but NNOPE, just this ONE TIME they gotta be careless. same how this event was the ONLY TIME sherry was legit braindead enough to do something as retarded as checking on the traps alone without lilith's protection in a snowy mountain forest full of monsters when she knows she can't do shit.
i really like the manga as is, but the lengths they go to to try and make this crappy arc work is embarassing.

Somehow sensibly using the meme, but... Naoya was kind of a piece of shit, you know? Is there something Duke isn't telling us?

Like others have said, perhaps all the things that happened so far have actually flipped the script. Weiss is becoming the MC of the story now, and Allen is turning into a villain. it seems like it's kind of a yin and yang thing. Weiss, as dark as his impulses are that seem to control his brutality and etc., is actually a decent guy who wants to protect people. Allen, while a good dude initially, has some darkness in him that we saw with his backstory about wanting to obliterate all monsters due his past. And while such a desire in itself isn't bad, the manga showed him his desire to be dark and filled with an extremely vengeful hatred. He's always had that dark in him, and while the original story would have led him to become the protag, perhaps in this iteration it's actually causing his darker side to take over more. Weiss inevitably doing what he does is causing an entire reversal of the story and pushing Allen to become the villain perhaps.
