Huh, it seems like it’s a power to suppress people weaker than you from the start, which is really villain like. I want to believe the writer thought of that, as it’s a cool bit of characterization.

I hope Allen learns a lesson from this: Charging into a problem you have no chance of solving doesn’t end well. Weiss knew that fighting the dragon alone was stupid. It still was stupid even after he charged in. His actions could easily have gotten them both killed. He needs to understand he can’t solve every problem.

Weiss needs to learn to trust his instincts morr. He should have let Allen die instead of feeling jealous of his ability to act.

Avarage JRPG progression. Start your quest hunting slimes, kill a dragon early on, end your quest killing the God creator of the universe.

What dragon? Remember, it's definitely not a dragon because dragons don't appear in that place. It's just a big lizard. She might mention to someone that there was a big, nasty lizard out there, but she found it too distasteful to fight, so she relocated herself. Some other students might have stayed behind to deal with it. No problem.
