Thanks for the TL. The fact that his leaving made so many fighters leave as he was their only goal proves just just how poorly that colosseum was conducted and managed in the first place.
To her the most important was to fight him and win, she never cared about another thing, even if he only could copycat her own skill... And it's not likely the opponent was always blind likely the audience in the Coliseum, proved that many people leave the Coliseum after he was expelled... Some of them had the same mind of that girl... Wanted to fight him again and prove themselves.... The owner of Coliseum was stupid to make a wrong move... Only if he did it in purpose and let him go to a better place, but I don't believe... '-'
That’s fair, but in the same sense I think it reveals what the original comment’s issue was. Its not like she was at fault, but someone whose so focused on their goal that they don’t notice the suffering of the very person they’re using as a goal post is kinda awful in of themselves. At that point they aren’t seeing an individual as an individual, but just as an object to overcome or reward to obtain. Its not that different from stories where the MC is treated like (by the story or MC) nothing more than a material reward for accomplishing XYZ and the individual seeking them doesn’t bother to actually see them as a person and get to know them.
Oh, I thought this was the oher Jobless manga. Or maybe the other other Jobless manga. Or one of the others. But this is the one with the Colosseum Jobless guy.
That they consider the "hero" job ominous tells me much more about them than the job.
Something this makes me wonder is if language and definitions came first or the occupations/jobs. Its an issue I have with all these divine occupations premises. Hero isn’t a job/title given based on skill level, but rather based on merit and one’s continuous actions. You don’t exactly call a hero that’s gone full Sauron a hero anymore nor do you call someone who just sits at home and watches tv and never even goes outside a hero.
It just makes me wonder if in their world Hero just purely means skill level and if so whats the point of giving these divinely mandated jobs those types of titles? Just give letters for skill rank and call it a day. Otherwise how can such a large group of people be fearful of the hero job without outright outing themselves as corrupt or criminal? Like even if everyone is going along with it, they’re just increasing the likelihood that the incredibly powerful person with high moral standards rolls up to them and deals some divine punishment.
Also yeah, I’ve 100% misplaced which jobless manga this is in my mind. Probably gonna have to reread.
