Looking back on it, it's pretty hilarious how she didn't remember (or bother writing down) his name, but apparently took his entire freaking speech to heart to such a degree she wrote it down to the last word in her diary (or worse, recited it from heart when she saw him, lol)

soo question is, if she pays for the food, isnt it just irrelevant how much they pay for it or how expensiv it is? it flows back into the econemy.
but i guess since the money comes from to high taxes it would be a problem, but just the spending shouldnt be to worrysome

But by god, everytime she whips out that meat phrase, I'm really miffed. The original historical phrase was bread and cake, which fits because you need similar ingredients.

Eating meat when there's no bread is actually a sensible thing that nomadic people do, or in barren places more suited for grazing than agriculture. It doesnt showcase her obliviousness as the author intends it to.

This actually make sense in this universe and the culture of her kingdom because they HATE farming (so they must love meat right?) while their kingdom is situated and most fertile possible land. While this may not show her obliviousness, it shows it's culture.
