Personally, I think the girl at the beginning should have been killed to activate that time power - since that's How Mia originally travelled as well (thanks, mr.guillotine).
It also just makes the conflict and consequences of what Mia & Co. are doing, that much more 'heavy' and impactful.

kind of funny to me people assumed the story was over when in the comments I had said this chapter was already out in Japan. I usually keep us a chapter behind incase of split chapters or when I get really busy irl.

Though I do guess my inclusion of the part names did lead to some confusion, they didn't exist in the JP raws, but the part names are too good to not include in the manga

The manga tried, but the LN's version of scene just goes way too hard, it's hard to measure up. It's one of my favorite scenes in the series

Agreed. I noticed it with the ending of the previous chapter, it didn’t hit as hard, but was still good.

that's understandable tbh, i think this is mostly because of the anime if i'm being honest. like it ended on a sweet spot that would make you think that, that was it.

that makes sense, i think releasing it as a whole is always better

When ever he changes anything for LN he changes original WN too , i just skim read google translation from syosetu . with WN. Like he reduced mia's father age from 54 to 45 because he added mia's Granny in story. While keeping duke yellowmoon's age same.
And this change happened after anime S1 finished.
