Seriously, I'm glad they've done away with having to explain why the MC doesn't notice the obvious or forcing us as the audience to pretend that the artist didn't massively fail to try and make Rui look at least halfway androgynous when she's in disguise. It wouldn't have made a lick of sense but it would've almost been better to draw her with less curves and boobs when in her guardian mode and then show off her properly curvy body now and not explain how the two forms could coexist. At least that would be less insulting than her looking the way she does the whole time and expecting us to believe that anyone with 2 functioning braincells is incapable of seeing the truth.

That's what it is. It's either this or the cockroach. The idea is to take a tough girl and make her vulnerable for the sake of relationship progression.
The convenient thing about using thunder for this is that it can happen suddenly, traps you inside your shelter, may trigger traumatic memories, reinforces the feelings of horror and mystery, and it's a rather common and relatable fear.

LN seems a lot better so far. My biggest complaint about the WN was that it didn't feel like a gender ratio world because of the main love interest running interference, you never saw women acting crazy so it just felt like a very generic yandere romance novel and I dropped it.
