I wanna start a thread about the sad state of the American comic book industry, but it's heavily involved with politics. Which, originally would have been fine, since I was actually mulling over creating a highly political article but ultimately decided against it, so now I don't know.

Actually, does anyone here even care about American comics aside from me?

Some years back I made a low five-figure mistake at work, and once I realized I had, promptly took responsibility for it. That wound up working in my favor - I got off with a brief dressing down and everyone avoided a drawn out post-mortem. And since no one else took heat for that situation, there have been a few instances since where folks have been quick to jump to my defense on things that legitimately aren't my fault (or responsibility).
