The digital only media apocalypse is upon us. Soon the corporations will take ownership away from consumers.

I want to make a story with 8 main characters. But I know I don't have the skill or motivation to commit the time to bring them to live; especially the main main character whose supposed to just be generic shounen mc (nth in line son of the king).

I've already established in my head each of their backstories and one character development story arc for each of them to deal with their demons. I also know who I want to kill off/ afterstory of each character after the main events.

I also have some ideas of interactions and bonding moments between the different characters.

The problem is world building is a pain. the 8 are divided into a prosperous kingdom and a war-torn ex-empire that is now just ruled by individual warlords. 4 characters from each initially compete each other and other side-characters/minor antagonists for magic crystals belonging to an old demon lord which empowers the users.

I just don't know about anything in between, making mini-bosses for each team and how to eventual intergrate the 8 characters to sometimes team-up and sometimes fight each other. Cause in the end the generic shounen mc will have to 1v1 duel the main character from the war-torn team (for that sasuke/naruto action).
