Do you guys turn it to as low as possible, until it's freezing
Only in a hotel room - first thing I do upon getting to the room is to set the thermostat to 'meat locker.' :smugchisato:

Thermostats in offices have been a point of contention for decades. Sometimes space heaters are a solution for that, provided they don't pose a fire risk, but more frequently the answer is 'bring a jacket.' I can to some extent commiserate, if for the opposite reason - for me in an office, anything above about 72F/22C is starting to get warm, and since there's only so much I'm willing/able to take off in public, I've had to get used to being warm a couple of places. I don't have any suggestions (other than maybe 'laughably hideous cardigans'), but I hope you're able to find a workable (for you) solution until you're able to line something else up for work.

Do you guys turn it to as low as possible, until it's freezing, then put on a jacket; instead of turning it to a reasonable degree so that you can be cool without having to put a jacket on? You know, what I think is a sensible thing to do? It's worse because the air vents are directly above where I and my boss sit. It's just one of many seemingly trivial things that make me not want to have anything to do with them. Petty? Whatever the fuck you wanna think. Even when it's cold and I turn the heater on, they turn that shit off right away without saying a word. Someday I'm gonna rip the fucking control panel off the wall before I quit.

Southeast Asian region?
Worth mentioning, I wouldn't keep it low if someone else was uncomfortable. In terms of a jacket, I don't need a light hoodie or jacket unless its at least below 60. I've heard that people in different climates handle temperatures differently. Like people in the northern United States where I am can take the cold better then the south.

There's no need for the AC being lower than 24ºC or even 25ºC if you're chilling (75-77F), but that's only if you're not doing exercise or surrounded by heat devices. I can be even naked at that temperature (at home I am), but it's not the same than being outdoors at that temperature, even in the shade (specially because no one's still unless napping). It's crazy when you visit a shopping mail in summer or I get dragged to a weding, even in a suit I've been freezing because I end up close to an AC and it's set below 20ºC. And I am someone who enjoys walking on snow below 0ºC and even with some wind blowing.

...dear god no. That may be okay for a little while, but that's unacceptable for sleeping.
(Bear in mind I'm an overweight American, so my mileage may vary.)

...unsure if correct response is 'TMI' or... something else.

I'm talking during the day, by night temperature without AC should be below 20ºC... which it was before this decade, but global warming ended that. Nowadays I struggle to sleep in summer because I have no AC in my room. The naked part is basically the natural method to reduce body temperature (specially when you don't have an AC).

Yeah, a couple of decades ago I had no problem sleeping in dorms, etc., with no AC, but I'm pretty sure I'd be miserable and legitimately irritated all the time if I tried that now, both because of age and because it's just that much warmer for large parts of the year.

As for the naked, my Puritanical upbringing instinctively recoils from such a solution, and reaches for the AC instead....

Around 13 years ago I started sleeping all year round without pajamas and I can't go back anymore. If I had known my sleep quality would improve that much, I'd have done that even as a toddler.

wait no, what I meant was

"I stopped sleeping with pajamas when I was 7, and you kept wearing them when you were an adult until 13 years ago?

huh, cultural differences"

should've clarified that
