Searching for figures on Amazon and Ebay can be impossible at times with the amount of bootlegs. While some of them have obvious tells, others may look pretty legit until you get them off the card and they fall apart.

Got some that were pretty good actually that way, for really damn cheap.
If you want the legit stuff, you should go on specialist sites instead, they do actually quality check.

I can't divulge too much, but in short, it's a device that gets the position it is in via ultrasonic, that's timed by with a different signal that tells the other device to start counting.
I currently use 40khz transceivers, but they are a bit too directional for my purposes.

Yeah, ultrasonic tends to be straight line only, and it gets worse as you climb the spectrum - take all the problems speaker designers have with axis width for tweeters and multiply several times. (Currently running a stack of records through my ultrasonic cleaners, which use 40kHz as well, coincidentally - I'm thinking that must be a fairly standard part.)

Can you drop down to 20-25 kHz, and use a more conventional tweeter/supertweeter driver? Those may give you more spread on the initial dispersal pattern.

I've been reading The Archie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics and there's a lot of pollution, poaching, and fish netting plots. I feel like I'm reading an after-school special. The issue I'm on now is about a guy who merges with a satellite and uses his power to stop people from destroying the earth or something. He first kidnaps April and has her record him lecturing the populace about how they ruined everything and tells them what he plans to do to stop it or something. I haven't read the rest yet. I just want to read stories about the turtles going on adventures and stuff, man.
