You are not alone, a few weeks ago I completely screwed up my score in a homework that was worth half the grade in a college subject because I didn't see it when the teacher put it in the system (I'm not watching his class because I'm not at home at the time and presence is not obligatory) and that stayed on the bottom of the page, so I only saw it when was already past one week of the deadline (the page is very long and the weekly stuff the professor uploads stay on the top, you barely have reasons to reach anywhere near the bottom)
Now I had to do some tricks for not failing directly (I required a sufficiency test, so my score on this test overwrite my actual grade and overcome my impossibility to score enough to pass, but if I fail on that too then I'm inescapably doomed)
The worst part of all this it that subject is somewhat easy (hence why I'm not even bothering to watch the classes)

That's how they get you though. My rule is "if I don't need it in the real world, just go for the grade".

If only. I get that elementary knowledge of basic subjects is important and can help people find the best path for them, but I really would've appreciated some 'paying your bills' simulations in high school and stuff like that.

One of the real world lessons we had was a stock market simulation.
At the end, the most important lesson we learned was that you shouldn't play the stock market unless:

A. You rich AF and can afford to lose shit tons of money without impacting your current lifestyle (in which case you didn't need the extra money in the first place)
B. You lucky AF and can ride the momentum long to enough to cash out and retire early (in which case you might as well play the lottery)
C. You patient AF and diligent AF to stay in the game super long term for potentially moderate returns

Same actually, we had a market simulation too. I yolo'd it by putting it all in Blackberry and Tesla and ended up getting the top returns in the class just out of luck. Good thing I realized that's exactly what it was though: luck.

Tbh the way to go with the stock market is to find and follow someone else's plays. Preferably it should be an individual with a relatively small amount of followers, and there should be a monthly cost for following their plays. (Yes I know this sounds sketchy as fuck but these groups do exist.)

Regardless, it's best for people who don't want to gamble their money to stay away from stocks in general (aside from safer long-term investments like mutual funds and shit).

I decided I was gonna take cold showers and start NoFap to improve my life style and get some good character developments (hopefully). but i just realised that i suck at both....

Cold showers suck shit and I almost fucking relapsed on the first day of NoFap. i know noone said it was gonna be easy but damn i cant believe im gonna make myself do this for a whole month.

Nah, it's juts that I didn't pay while in highschool, and since I was there for three years, me and my family forgot that you're supposed to pay for education, luckily, that won't be a problem since I payed the rest of the year.
