Her master doesn't seem like someone that would want more work. She has an apprentice that can do all the work while also helping her for school. Her master woulda just needed to sit back and reap the reward when it's completed. I also don't see her master being able to understand the concept of a heated "mini-cyclone". Whereas, for our modern day mc, this is just general knowledge.
