@cor3zone I live in southern California, where cold weather is rare, people mostly worry about the ac, and leave the heater with substandard maintenance (if the gas company didn't come out every few years to check it, mine probably wouldn't even function), so I can say that while we are used to the heat, we do insulate, but it's so it doesn't get as hot, from outside. Buildings are built to be able to cool down somewhat faster, by opeing windows, and letting the airflow freely through, rather than holding heat in. Seriously, this sudden climate change would be baffling, and terrifying. In my own experience, when the temperature dropped below 70° F (around 20-21° C) my friends and family starting freaking out, saying Trump had brought about the End Times, leaving the stove burning, or turning on the dusty heater with the possible gas leak....
