wait, so are they gonna need to kill the girl so that Anis take her role ? i don't remember they kill her in anime.
they do able to get corrupted, no? since when they made the contract, it's not like they're doing it with bad intention, iirc, they do it with good intention of helping the kingdom if i'm not wrong
I mean, she mentions that she is also frustrated he didn't tell them anything until he pulled his little stunt off.seeing how their parent react for anis, make me wonder if they actually care for son
The most damning part of this is really the amount of times we see them talking to Anis vs talking to Algard. The parents continue to be awkward characters. It feels like they're intended to come across as half-decent parents who do actually care a lot even though they fucked up some, but in actuality they end up looking like horribly neglectful parents who never actually did or do anything to help despite ostensibly caring. Maybe that is realistic given how busy they would be as royals, but this is a story not reality and their presentation just doesn't really match that.
I mean they say they care but they were about to send Anis off to some nobel to be their literal breeding sow. They KNEW this and still didn't really bother doing anything until deux ex spirit contract appeared. Now they act like they were unaware because Anis didn't tell them how completely nightmarish this whole thing made her feel. I mean how can you not know your own child? She was not some emotionally stunned introvert either. We are talking about someone who gleefully declared they will marry a woman even when she was a small lad. Story completely fumbles anything related to the parents. They come across extremely bad with no excuse to their behaviour. The most damning part of this is really the amount of times we see them talking to Anis vs talking to Algard.
And as someone who has parents who had to be absent (because their work was and is extremely taxing and time-consuming) yet still try to care whenever they notice something is wrong...I get how things fall through their hands at times, be it because they don't know how to talk to their children after realizing too late things are wrong, or worse, because the kid has become too good at hiding all the bad and feeling ok with it, to the point someone else has to pry it out, or rat them out, and tell the parents.
fair point on that good sir, i don't disagree at allYou're not wrong about they are doing with good intention but "corrupted" isn't the word I'll use when it come to old king sprint contractor. They don't get "corrupted" in a scene of Madoka or real world. but they are blind by their wish of helping the kingdom. It's not corruption if it is by design.
like the dragon passing down it's heartI just think it's a case of he went insane after living too long and he needed to be put down. And she's afraid she might be reaching that point so she wants another Spirit contractor to kill her before she does something bad.
in my opinion all this pretty much their parent fault. dont know how to talk not an excuse for not saying a thing to your kid, for example during engagement annulment, why call anis instead of confront algard directly . they being wishy washy , honestly its really irritated me.The most damning part of this is really the amount of times we see them talking to Anis vs talking to Algard.
