The LN version of the fight is at least as wordy. Similar dialogue, plus a lot more thoughts. Manga has more focus on the fight tactics, and Anis exploiting the enchanted water is obviously brand new since there wasn't any before. I guess the author had a New Idea.
author have to tweak them a litle to fit manga format, lets hope they tweak volume 4 by making them a bit shorter, that one kinda boring

Still waiting for Tilly to show up with the Comically Oversized Mallet(tm), and bonk them and point out the obvious flaw in their thinking that they have to do this alone, lol. Don't spoile it for me LN readers! But that's what I think will happen, since Tilly seems to be THE ONLY PERSON with any level of common sense in this story, lmao!

This fight could just be totally avoided if Anis could think out of "duty" mindset, bro, just abolish the monarchy, build a republic were a noble and a commoner are no different, would be the perfect scenario for her to develop magicology

Uhm... what was this fight about again...? I don't remember by now. :notlikethis:
So, Euphie wants to be an immortal being, casting aside her humanity, just to let Anis be free pursuing Magicology until the end of her time, as Euphie knows the limitless potential of Magicology for the world.

Meanwhile, Anis knows the effect of being immortal, and doesn't want Euphie to take the dangerous risk of it, more so when Euphie's purpose of taking immortality is Anis. She does not want the person she loved bear such burden for her.

So, Anis & Euphie, having their own convictions, decided to do trial by duel and pick the choice of whoever wins, while trying to persuade each other mid-fight. Although we can see in this chapter none of it worked, even making Anis activate the Dragon crest, possibly triggering the Dragon Curse...

That's the perfect scenario for a civil war where lots of people die. You think if the king says "no more nobility" then the nobles will go "aww, shucks, time to be commoners"?

Thanks for the chapter!

If Anis gets the lifespan of a dragon and rules besides Euphie, and potentially even becomes a full dragon eventually, will there at some point come a hero that wants to "save the people of the country from the dragon that is oppressing them"?

I'm not saying that society hadn't pressured Anise into her choices but everyone lives in a society, everyone feels social pressures. But instead of asking her family for help she chose make to make the choice for them, to make it easier for them. And look at how that turned out. And now she's doing the exact same thing again. This time though, Euphie is not going to let that happen. And ultimately, Euphie is not choosing Anise's future for her, she's just telling her that this future is not open for her. There's still a million things Anise could do, but Euphie is not letting her choose the one where she becomes a sacrificial figurehead.

YES, THANK YOU, I LOVE YOU. Finally someone said it. Not sure why all these people want to see Anís ruin her life because that's exactly what she's going to do. She's not planing any revolution, she's not fighting any noble and she's not prepared for her role. She's going to live miserably, faking a smile in front of everyone just like she's being doing until Tilty almost beat some sense on her. Instead of searching a new path with Euphy she's decided to live the rest of her life unhappy and make everyone around her unhappy in the process just because she's still feels guilty about Al-
