The plot related babble made even less sense to me than usual in this chapter :p So Euphie was all over Anis not because she loves her, but because apparently spirit contractors are really horny for magic or whatever? Is that what I'm supposed to get from this? Probably not, but I did.

It's both. Already loves her and found out they're also perfect for each other magically. She's not absorbing magic from just anyone.

Useless lesbians aside, i hope we get an arc on how they do their reforms and how they struggle within the archaic bureaucracy, was kinda disappointed with how the anime turned out. Change doesn't happen magically, but its a long arduous struggle.

The suggestion is.... MAGIC BABIES! go and make a lot together!
I'm going to miss this one so much, but a s2 of the anime is not out of the realm of possibility at least
I really want to see a s2.
How in the realm of possibility is it? Aside from Dragon Maid, I have not seen any yuri anime get beyond season 1. Not that I've seen many to begin with.

I'm still deeply disappointed that the "revolution" is essentially just that there will be nicer permanent rulers. That's not really "freedom" at all.

You're not even a third of the way through the story.

But also "magical revolution" might be like "industrial revolution" not "French revolution"

Holy fuck farming is one of those tings that hits for authors, no?
I'd like to see a king or emperor (or queen or empress, whatever fits best) to secretly be a deranged mad scientist making all kinds of ridiculous experiments and totally living for them, accidentally making life easier for everyone. Or having all experiments failing in spectacular ways that make the servants go nuts and lose their shit because half of the castle has been destroyed (again).

Yes, Anis is probably close to that, but she's not the queen (yet), so she doesn't count.
As fitting as the latter fellas' name is,what y'all need to remember is...
...most monarchs, especially Japanese ones, started their ancestary as farmers.

I bet you that's one thing they recall the most from their history lessons in school.
