Fran compares herself to some of the most powerful adventurers, and feels dejected, but she shouldn't.

She is incredibly powerful in her own right. Even though Amanda was pulling her punches, Fran still made a good showing in their sparring match.

But she's still got a way to go. She'll get there with time and work.

Amanda is a cutie.

and you still haven't seen ANYTHING

I mean..."amounted to nothing" when it was only thanks to her stalling it to hell and back that anyone capable of actually beating it was able to arrive.

I hope she doesn't get to finish the fight, if only to give her more perspective on how capable she is, the meaning of it, and how even if she isn't the strongest, she still did admirably on a fight she was clearly out of her depth and specialty on. Would be frustrating to have her start going suicidal for this stuff before that happens, even more so with how she's been fighting non-stop for the entire night already, let alone having a fight to get into for the last 2-3 days IIRC

Based on the novel, what will happen in the next chapter is Fran lamenting being weak and Shishou lamenting having used his evolution points to try to escape instead of fighting. He admits that he was scared of Linford, but seeing the (mostly) high-ranking adventurers giving him a one-sided beating, he realizes that Linford is not invincible and didn't have to be a coward.

They will train so that next time they won't have to escape... NO, WAIT, Next time? The fight isn't over yet.
He was still trying to escape, They have to get up and join the others.

Fran was thinking the same thing and came up with the idea of using all of Shishou's abilities in a super attack.

With that, they didn't defeat him, but the others didn't waste the opportunity and attacked him all at once.

Zelos lead wanted to give him the final blow to use cannibalism, but Urushi got there first.

Having said all that, I must add that the manga has made a LOT of changes to the story, and obviously the next chapter will be a little different than what I described.

Amanda isn't that nosy in the novel, and they explain that she did train them, but saw they had no talent, so she told them they should give up on being adventurers; they'd only find death if they continued down that path.

And what did they do? They moved to the most dangerous continent in the world, and they didn't even live in one of the Safe Zones, and they died during the extra dangerous period.

It's a nickname that refers to the fact that many of the children who grow up in Amanda's Orphanages grow up to become Strong Adventurers and would come running if she called them, so NO ONE wants to mess with Amanda.

It could be said that Fran is also included in this, albeit indirectly.
