Oh no, these horrible people kidnapped us and are going to turn us into slaves! Anyways, now that we're slightly inconvenienced, lets buy our own slaves!
I think the difference is that the previous auction house and slave trade was located in the literal criminal city, whereas this is taking place in their own area that actually had standards and seems to be respectable.

Edit: since people seem to be misconstruing what I'm saying, the fact that it's a slave establishment is obviously still bad. I'm merely pointing out the difference that there's less chance anyone here was abducted from their homes and treated like scum compared to the other place that was literally run by runaway criminals. Yes, it's comparing getting shot to getting stabbed; both horrible, but there is a difference between the two.

How do you go from a whole mini-arc about them fighting against a slave trader and rescuing someone from being auctioned off as a slave to then literally just waltzing into a slave trader's shop and buying five of them.

Doesn't help they went the boring route and picked three random dudes and two plain girls.

I haven't read the LN but this chapter makes it look like there are a lot of skipped content. The storytelling in this chapter is all over the place.

gotta be 'fair and balanced'.

Seriously, they use them like hiring agencies most of the time why not just have them be a hiring/work agency rather than slaves, though it doesn't feel different alot of the time, GUAHAHAHA!
