Tempest later makes peace with the West Saints Church by the latter exploiting a loophole in their doctrine and classifying everyone in Tempest as demi-humans instead of monsters.

Need confirmation on that though.

Also I don't know how that guy was still alive and talking after that first hit, it looked like it went straight through his heart.
