@421cookies: For better or for worse, as Monky said below, I usually forget what his pre-reincarnation character was like. Rimuru's personality is super chill and go-with-the-flow, but it's not clear to me if that's what he was like overall in his previous life or not.

It's a web novel, after all. Things are bound to change once they become official. As an example, I was told that in the light novel, Shizu's backstory was told in more detail.

Based on the information that I could find: Re:Creators originated in April of 2017 as an Anime (the announcement for which was December of 2016), while Re:Zero originated April 20, 2012 as a light novel. That is a full four or five years BEFORE Re:Creators...
