Ah, man. On one hand it's great that she found someone she responds well to who accepts her; on the other hand, this situation is kinda untenable in the long run, the guy might burn out taking care of her on his own. Professional help would ideally give her the right kind of counseling and therapy to go with her meds, though finding the right therapist would take a while.
It's best for her to gradually learn as much independence as she can -- learning to manage her impulses, especially out in public, would go a long way -- but idk if that along with therapy and meds will be enough. She could be as well-adjusted as the nurse they'd met earlier and still be dependent on someone else to help her navigate society, just like that nurse. She could be on the part of the spectrum that requires monitoring for life because of all the things she has to deal with on a daily basis.
The manga seems to be headed in an optimistic direction, which I don't mind, but I can't help feeling apprehensive for her just the same.
