I think you're thinking about Brittney Karbowski? IMO I think her voice fits Yamame the best. When it comes who I'd think would be the best dub voice for Iku, I've always thought that Amanda Lee's voice would fit her character perfectly. We'll see who Crunchyroll casts next season, but for the love of God I hope they keep Ciarán Strange off the cast. Crunchyroll has so many excellent voice actors but for some reason they keep casting Ciarán Strange despite her being possibly the worst VA they got. Iku is probably the character that's most in danger of having Ciarán being cast to play because Crunchyroll loves casting her to play boys and tomboys, and it's always a disaster when they do.

No, he was mentioned. In chapter 135, Shizuka's mom — in her flashback to when she slapped Shizuka (the time from her flashback in chapter 3) — thinks to herself, "Her father is always working, and almost never in Japan", as part of her self-justification for how she was treating her daughter.

(That part of the reasoning was that if anything should happen to her (the mother), since the dad won't be around to help, it's vital that Shizuka be able to function "normally" — so she has to be even harder on Shizuka. It's twisted reasoning, ignoring that you can't magically overcome disabilities by being yelled at to try harder.)

I don't think there's a meaningful distinction between 'utahime' and 'idol', at least by that metric. I think she's not getting hassled because a) she's a rising singer and not an established star, b) she's not attached to an idol unit (besides Rentarou's Family), and c) she actually is in something of a disguise on that date, with the colored glasses and all.
