Regarding the name, Eira is a Japanese female name, but the weird part about it in this case was that it's written in katakana as if it's foreign. That's difficult to convey in Roman script without a very obnoxious translation note, especially since we're not actually 100% sure about what the exact intention here was (outside of the capoeira pun). Unfortunately the translation, even though it's fairly straight, gives the impression it's a Brazilian name.

Either way, all Rentarou does is bring attention to it as if he can see it's spelled unusually. Basically, as far as I can tell, the name is Japanese but looks foreign, hence why she explains she's Japanese-Brazilian.

Rentarou can tear and manipulate the fabric of space time easier than breaking the 4th wall to massage Nozawa-sensei with Momiji, noticing the text bubbles in the manga he's a self-aware protagonist in is a cake-walk for him lol

I'm pretty sure Kaho actually is a Japanese name just like Eira is, so they put em together since they sound closer to capoeira while still being Japanese names without actually straight up making the name capoeira.

If anything, it takes more effort to make the pun sound less like the actual thing you're making a pun of than it is to just go with the exact-same sounding choices, at least in this case lol I mean Capo/Kapo doesn't sound like a Japanese family name either anyway, but Kaho does, and the pun works even better in Japanese kana because, like you said, the only difference between the two is the ° symbol between 「ほ / ﾎ」 and 「ぽ / ポ」, so in kana, it's literally just a dot making the difference in the pun, but in English or romanized text, even with only one letter making a difference, the pun still works, but it doesn't hit as hard as the Japanese version...or something I guess, since your reaction is the more common one than the pun itself getting laughs lol
