I doubt mangadex will ever do that, but I personally don't like how busy it makes the front page anyway. To each there own of course; as others have said, it should be/is(?) toggle-able.

You can still force them enabled in Settings -> Experiments; they just change their default state as April 1st comes and goes. They'll probably go away sometime in the end of the week.

This establishes dominance in the social hierarchy so you can browse lewd manga in peace no matter who's around you.
