I'm confused, Zoey / Ivy aren't unisex names, it's strictly female yet dude's a dude. Feels like the names are jumbled for some reason. Either from translation or improper author knowledge. Or I'm forgetting something.

Exclusively, but that still doesn't really make sense. I'd get it if the names were derivatives of Gorgon names, but it seems most likely that the author just doesn't know what gender these names typically apply to. Maybe it's the "I wanted a daughter" thing or maybe it's like a hermaphrodite thing, since "he" looks extremely androgynous. Most likely I'm over thinking it, and it's probably just lack of knowledge.

I really love this series but it kinda seems like it should have ended at the end of volume 9
Or it was intended to end. Nevertheless I'm eager to see more of this quality manga

I hope it isn't just me, but I initially thought that the egg had a belt and a sombrero with tassels. I broke out laughing because of this.

Defacing the temple? What?
I read Medusa and her sisters were "punished" because people thought she was better-looking than Athena (or maybe that she had claimed to be). That it was literally just an act of petty jealousy so utterly typical of the Greek pantheon.

No actually in the most common versions of the myth known, Medusa alone is cursed for either having sex with or being raped by Poseidon in athenas temple. Medusa is usually portrayed as super beautiful though which is why Poseidon is interested. Although fun fact this version of the myth seems to have been made up wholesale by one Roman poet who had authority issues and liked portraying the gods as even bigger assholes than normal. Every source I could find before him usually has Medusa and her sisters straight up just born monsters. (Though Poseidon does still sleep with her in those versions to)

If they were "born monsters" in other versions, were they even changed at all?
Even if it is all necessarily fictional, it would be nice to know what is or isn't canon.

While sometimes he’s pretty accurate good rule of thumb if the source for the version of a myth your reading is Ovid take everything with some grains of salt and look for earlier sources.
