Also, fun fact; People with boring traditional names like John or Jane, have a higher statistical likelyhood of being happy - no idea why, might have something to do with people 'living up' to what they're labeled (so people with zany names, act zany, are unahpyp because of it etc).
I get the impression that parents who give their children unique names are more likely to want to feel special, while those who choose more traditional names are more content with a more mundane way of living.

Thanks for the translation notes on p3, I was left very confused by the second page.

That being said, I would hope the baby in p2 is there symbolically, or just to avoid breaking tradition. And that actually, they had this discussion before the little girl's birth.

I watched a video about names like this in Japan, just recently. Apparently, names like that are now illegal to give to your child.

So this is actually a thing in Japan and I believe they're called "Sparkly-Names" I.E. names that are meant to make you stand out from the crowd. Names are Anglicized, read differently, or even spoken differently than they're written (You could have the Kanji for cloud but it'll be verbally read as Ocean for example). As you can guess, being in a country where conformity is the norm, it's not always the most favored naming convention.

Going for creative names probably reflect parents that are high in creativity, likely prone to risk-taking behaviors and are attracted to novel experiences. This means they're not the type for "standard" experiences that are viewed as boring but are often stable and lend to consistent outcomes (a cozy life). Since kids don't get the standard life, they're likely to be less happy than those who do.

"I'mma have to stop you right there dear." -Father 💧

"(You, are you god? I know you're my papa, but still, thanks dad)" -Daughter to her father, maybe :worry:

Always nice to see someone else enjoy that particular work.
