As to the hours lost, I went back two chapters and if we follow logically;

• It was after cram school for him. So guessing 8pm-ish finish to cram.
• Walked the dog and came home. Likely 9pm-ish to walk the dog since it's the last bathroom run. So back approaching 10pm.
• Cooked, ate and bathed. Cleaned up after. Well over an hour burned.

So they probably didn't start making out until shortly before, or around, midnight.

Add in the awkward pauses and his oppai analysis and I can see them timing out quite easily. Kyo isn't enough of a wolf to go straight for the prize.

I'm looking forward to next chapter. I bet a certain girl is going to notice something. Expecting a, "Did ya do it?" incoming.

In the west, 15 year old couples getting freaky is very, VERY standard, so western readers see no issue. I know that for instance in India (just off the friends I have from there) that there is far less boy-girl intimacy until way later in life than in the west, so it makes sense how this can come off weird. The Japanese are a very.. repressed culture, so we see them getting really really freaky when they can. Seen best in their media, but also how big things like JAV are, as I know porn stars have idol status there. Same for a bunch of grown men being very into idols. So its very logical that teen romance manga can carry a sexual element like this. It'd be a bit more off if they were 12-13, but 15 is that transition period between middle school and highschool, when students start to develop an extremely strong sense of independence and become rebellious, it's the exact time for stuff like this to come out of the woodwork.

I've had similar experiences as the two in the chapter did in my own teenhood too and found it extremely relatable. The awkwardness was captured just perfectly. It's EXACTLY how this stuff goes the first few times. Imho, it's an amazing chapter.

actualy the funny thing is the Westerners having a strong negative reaction, like this is too uncommon to happen because "its too soon"...

like idk which world they live, but when I was 12, I used to hear girls fighting in the class spilling way worse stuff that they did with boyfriends or flings in the class.... XD

This was a very tasteful chapter. Ichikawa's thought process on what was going to happen is so Noroi-Sensei giving us a preview of her lewd plans for them. I loved that Ichikawa's then like nope that's fantasy. Then the awkward teenager's intimacy happens. It's beautiful and real and neither one is going to be aggressive out of consideration for each other so they spend a lot of time making out. Yamada's leaving is a hint and her falling on the bed that Ichikawa laughs at. Yamada pulls him to get him to make out and then Ichikawa decides to let her lead and she stops. All of this burns their time together though the Dad should have come home at some point.
