To be fair, her behavior in the relationship is literally a mirror of Ichikawa's behavior. She wasn't possessive until Ichikawa started acting possessive. She didn't try to interfere with his interactions with the opposite sex until he started doing it first.

Honestly Kyotaro has been pretty shitty throughout the manga in this way. He overacts to her interactions with basically any boy, but then turns around and does the same thing he just interrupted Yamada doing several times and then she starts getting obsessive over it too.
That makes no sense.
Ichi was only jealous of Yamada interacting with Adachi because he literally said he liked Yamada and even that was already solved by the time of the school festival.
"Pick up senpai" was just a trash guy who kept hitting on Yamada despite being told no. Ichikawa was annoyed by him but never jealous because he knew the trash didn't really had any chance.

Also Yamada has been showing her jealous side literally around every girl who interacted with Ichikawa, from oblivious Kobayashi to even Hara who liked someone else.

It's time for Yamada to learn to have more trust in her friends and boyfriend. The "yandere" look of jealousy may have been a funny comedy relief but the author is showing how it can also cause trouble in Yamada's relationship with her girlfriends.

It's not only that. Moeko was tired the first day and wanted to skip beach and start studying, but other girls, especially Yamada, wanted to go. Next day, her food/meal plan was upset by Kyotaro wanting to show off, and he even got praise for that, while her own curry went ignored like it was normal for her to be the group's chef. Still, she wanted to play nice and complimented Kyo, but then Yamada got really weird about it "I must eat all of my boyfriend's soup, give it up!!!", which is such annoying couple behavior. Remember that Moe was also burdened all the time by being their secret-keeper before the rest of the group, which probably also bothers her, especially when Yamada starts behaving like that.

And then, when they finally started studying like they were meant to, Yamada, the indirect reason for the need to go shopping, instead stays clearly to keep an eye on her, and starts bothering them during study, and this bothering takes form of "you're working so hard on this trip, you are so great as a girl, I wish I can help you more". For fucks sake, you want to help her, stop fucking getting in her way all the time, including right now, and actually help out! That really makes it like Yamada doesn't mean what she says, even though she does mean it, because it doesn't fit with how Yamada actually behaves.

To sum it up, it wasn't just staying behind that pissed of Moe, it's staying behind while bothering her with "I wish I could help you" when doing the opposite of helping her right then and from the beginning of the trip.
So you think Moeko did do anything wrong? Not her nonexistent boundaries with her friends boyfriend, or the valentines day stuff, or flirting in Ch131 and being giving her food to a boy? Also her being very down bad to get a boyfriend.

Heck, even her wingwomaniest moment (getting him away from Nanjou at the family restaurant) had as its endgame her appearing at the sleepover with him as her escort. He dodged that (barely), but she has plenty to own up to.

Moeko did plenty wrong, but most of it has only indirect relation to this argument besides Yamada staying behind, which in itself wouldn't cause the argument. Moeko did become friends with Kyo, and recently bonded over studying to get to their preferred school, and what's important over Kyo convincing her to fight and not give up. So while Moeko's annoying and unwanted flirting makes Yamada more on edge and generally makes situation awkward, for Yamada interrupting their studying after doing as she pleased with praise that is opposite of how she's acting was bound to piss off Moe and anybody else in her position.

Yamada must deal with the fact that Moe is friend with Kyo, a friend that in some ways is closer or can talk about subjects that Kyo can't with Yamada, and while Moe doesn't make it easy on her, she must learn how to deal with that friendship without behaving like ass.

Also Moe being down bad for a boyfriend makes Yamada's praise of her femininity even more insulting after she was just - probably for a 100th time - unceremoniously ignored by playboys. And yes, that's also on Moe for being into worthless playboys, but it makes Yamada's praise just super annoying, even if from Yamada's POV Moe is really a powerful rival in love.

Some people here trying to reduce the problem purely to love triangle or NTR clearly have their brains turned to mush by dumb harems or NTR hentai and don't understand that in real life many interpersonal problems came from many different reasons, behaviors and differences in characters, some small but numerous enough, some not so small. Moe's flirting with and Yamada's jealousy over Kyo are only one part of the problem that led to this argument, and not even the direct reason, while certainly influencing how angry they were at each other before starting arguing. For Moe, Yamada looks like golden girl, doesn't even have to study for her career and is rich, while Moe had to give up her preferred school due to lack of money, and every boy goes gaga over her. For Yamada, Moe is smart, responsible and driven girl, who can get close to Kyo in a way Yamada can't, and i'm sure Yamada was honestly thinking Moe makes for better, desirable wifey type of girlfriend.

I kind of disagree with this. Sure it might be easier to talk with Moe about studies, but something like what high school he wanted to apply to is something he should’ve told Yamada directly.

They’re a couple now. They should talk about stuff like that, especially considering a lot of the time they spend together is in school/ the library.

Wow. What a great chapter. At first I was confused why this was happening but this tension was building for awhile. We already knew for a fact Anna is a jealous person so having her interrupt their studying was expected. But we actually see some of the same jealousy from Moe. Some people are saying that Moe doesn’t like Ichi but I don’t think that’s the case. She’s been sorta interested in him for awhile. In fact I think she was so jealous that she was the one who took Anna’s dog keychain that she got as a gift from Kyo. When it goes missing Anna freaks out when Moe is with her and then Anna goes to look for it. When Ichi goes to search for it outside too he sees Moe walking towards him from the opposite direction. Moe eventually keeps walking and Kyo keeps going in the direction Moe came from, Kyo bumps into Anna and then sees the keychain hanging from the tree from the direction Moe came from. I think Moe eventually felt bad and put it where it could be found where Anna walks from home to school. Moe tried to get Kyo’s Line right away. She asked him to hold hands while walking on New Year’s eve. She opened up about her personal life to Kyo and about what high school she was aiming for. She even mentions how close their high schools would be if they went to the schools they both wanted. She even told Anna’s mom that Kyo was her boyfriend. She wouldn’t have done those things if she wasn’t interested. Could the interest be that she just wants what Anna has? Maybe, it’s still there. Moe is supposed to be a hoe so I don’t know why people don’t see it.
You’re way off base on Moe. May be time for a reread for you.

This has become one of my favorite chapters. This manga really has a lot of depth without handholding, it's amazing. Even things that would happen for the sake of comedy have a consequence later on. It's the Bojack Horseman of romance manga (sorry).
Also, I'm greatly enjoying the discussions here. Sometimes I open up the comments and lose more faith in humanity, but this time is different. Seeing all the angles and takes from people here has retroactively made me enjoy not only the chapter but the work as a whole. It's crazy seeing how people are bringing up past events on a new light, considering now a certain resentment from Moeko. I've been liking many posts which are directly contradictions to one another, you all are making some good analysis. I hope this doesn't sound condescending or fake (don't want a repeat of the chapter's content xdd), but I thank you all for really making the experience better.
I understand they are kids and we aren't supposed to be fighting over sides, they're both flawed and correct in their own ways, but the appeal of tribalism is too high - go, team Moeko! I related to her situation due to two strangely close situations I've had in my life, involving [wanting to study but being interrupted then blowing up on friends due to resentment] and [managing more household chores than peers and saying it's fine but blowing up on friend who did less due to resentment].
I don't think she necessarily has romantic feelings for him, and I honestly hope she doesn't, just because I think this would exemplify a mastery from Norio to develop some complex tension/drama without making it a love rival cliche situation. Although, yes, making her really interested in him does also add some depth to her character. I trust whatever direction the author follows up. Now there are so many points to go, I hope this finally leads to Kyo and Anna discussing about her jealousy. It's cute but PROBLEMATIC!! Since the problems don't go away when becoming a couple (in some ways, they can increase), they still need a lot of talks and "repairs" (sorry for the english) on their relationship. This whole arc might have been a ruse, pointing out how they could "advance their relationship" physically/carnally (not that sex would really happen with these kids), but life goes on to show how they need to work on a lot of things first. I understand Kyo is a teenager, and a comedy relief is important, but perhaps this is the process of making him less "interpreting things hornily first" and more "proactively participating to solve problems".

while Moe had to give up her preferred school due to lack of money
I think it's important to clarify that Moe never says that she gave up going to her favorite school for lack of money, but that she wanted to be "considerate" to her parents and preferred not to go, because according to her "they don't expect much from Moe". It's a small but important detail.

Ichikawa definitely gets jealous in his own way, we just don’t see it as often because Yamada rarely interacts with other guys.

Reminder that he literally followed Yamada to karaoke because he didn’t want her to be with the male basketball team lmao. He also got jealous at Kanzaki during the white day chapter.

Number 1, from Yamada's perspective Adachi and co are Ichikawa's friend group the same way Koboyashi and the others are hers. They're literally the only guys in class he talks to, and he has had a lot of interactions with them in front of Yamada. And Yamada probably didn't even realize Adachi likes her since he's very much not upfront with his feelings to any of the girls.

From her perspective, Ichikawa got jealous she would be sharing a book with his friend and got in the way, he then immediately did the same thing with Hara.

There was also the white day double date. He went early in the morning and ran into Hara, so she tried to help him pick out a white day gift for Yamada. Yamada ran into Kanzaki and did the same. Then they meet up and ichikawa gets mad at Kanzaki for going shopping with Yamada. and there is definitly more.

Dude, you're really really misinterpreting that chapter. It's kind of ridiculous to read that and take away that Sekine was trying to make it look like they were dating or some crap.

Sure, but it still feels forced for the sake of drama. Especially considering all throughout not once has there seemed to have been any ill feelings between the two.
All throughout? You mean like the current arc or the overall story? 'cause they were already bickering about this shit in chapter 2.

Anna's been ridiculously conscious of Moe since she and Kyo became official: breaking up their convo about school choices, actively opposing Icchi's argument in favor of contacting her for help in the storeroom, even more or less telling him to maintain distance between them in the park. Add on all the times she messed with the relationship before they started actually dating (all the way back to getting his LINE first and even hiding their elementary school connection) and Anna has a lot of unresolved frustration with Sekine that needs to be, y'know, resolved.
There is also added pressure from the school entrance exams. Kyo and Sekine cannot enjoy themselves as they have to hardcore study while everyone else gets to relax. The pressure from the exams (and maybe jealously from everyone else getting referals to their schools of choice) has probably been bubbling under the surface for a while now.

Like others have said before, it feels like Anna kind of flies by life and lucks out with the things she gets without much growth involved. We, as readers, see that that clearly isn't the case, but the characters within the story probably feel some for of jealously when it comes to how easy it appears Anna's life is compared to their own. The only person who really sees Anna's struggle for what it is and how far she has come is Kyo, which is the reason why they are so close to begin with. They both confide in each other and lower the walls they keep up around others.
