This was some good development.
She was just too young to be 'exposed' and if she gets doxxed at such an early age, her own growth as a person might get stunted - she might be forced to quit halfway which she always regrets in her early endeavors.
Despite her appearance (she already looks like an average adult japanese female) she is still just in her early teens (she's not even in her senior high school years) and I guess it was a right move for the agency to hide her for now. It's kind of harsh not letting her join school activities (especially that this is now her final year in the school), but she might have crazy fans out there, and fandom can lead to quite insane situations. This is also a better turnout, instead of them being forced to break up or something; at least they will be able to see and go out with each other.
Anyway, this really was an interesting event to their lives, never thought I'd get to see another good development for these two.

Not really a fan of this development, but we'll see how the author is going to handle the situation.

here's something that the mangaka and a bunch of you will not like to hear:
the virtual otaku stalker villain... he doesn't exist...
what ItsThatBriGuy meant is the female model that is yamadas senpai in the agency. Remember the... what was it called Pigman? Twitter handle that was super obsessed with Yamada and turned out to be that person? She analyzed every picture and broadcasted these informations into the internet even though she herself is part of the industry and knows the restrictions that apply and didn't care. If I remember correctly the "bugged" house they stayed in for their study retreat was also hers. She's insane and I assume meant to show that in universe there are crazy obsessed people.

I'm not a fan of idol culture and what it does to the people that consume it or produce it. It's vapid, soulsucking, parasocial bullshit that, in my opinion, should've never gotten as far as it has. Yamada being adjacent to that industry and wanting to further go into it has always annoyed me for obvious reasons so I'm anxious to see where all of this is going.

remember how oshi no ko started off? yeah we're heading towards that direction...realistically there are 3 options left: 1. full decade of CIA agent arc (enforced celibacy gradually fades as idols approach their 30s) - optimal, 2. eventual breakup, 3. quitting the entertainment industry. In practice With the amount of coercive sexual scandals in the industry I don't think the first option's gonna work out all that well though

Honestly with how many sexual abuse scandals come out of the celebrity industry these days, I would NOT be so eager to jump into it if I was her.

And fuck the japanese idol industry in particular for purposely placating to the most vile pieces of shit fanbase.
It's the vile rabid pieces of shit that spend most of the money. It's no accident that they're pandered to.

Because of otakus, dude, those guys are fucking insane and if they find where she studies based on the pictures they'll start to stalk her non-stop. It has happened several times IRL, one guy even found where an idol lived based on the reflection in her eyes and assaulted her.
thats not what "otaku" means but ok
