@Glomoro I love that there is no strict rule about this, but 99% of things seem to follow the format. Really screws with me when I read something that doesn't.

@saphirekosmos That makes me think of stuff like the odd series here or there that's read from right to left or left to right when the country of origin usually does it the other way around. You'll be pretty much balls deep in the first chapter and just wondering "Is the translation weird? Am I reading it wrong? I can't tell which."

Hmm, about the King helping her out (I’m rereading this btw), what if it was because of

her similar appearance to the Prince’s mother?

Poor her. Even going back in time with an adult mindset is proving to be difficult. This manhwa is slowly growing on me. I didn't care for it in the slightest at first but it's one of those 'it gets better with time' types, I guess?

I think the Marquess knew somehow that she would go back in time because in the first chapter he said "if it's you, you can do it" or something among this lines.

@doubledutch
From what I heard she was with him for 2 years, so since she was 14... though whether the relationship was sexual in any way I do not know.

I hope not, but these are different times, and different times make for different values. Kids legit had to grow up faster back then.

Not saying ye should feel nice about it at all. Just understand that was a different time.

@doubledutch The story opens up with the staircase story, which you are correct when you say it's a metaphor, it's basically an outline of what happened to Shuli in her past life, the relationships she had with the family and her struggles as the Marchioness after the Marquess died. Of course, I feel that the Marquess did love Shuli but not as a lover; more like a daughter/niece. Hence, why the children were probably jealous of her and treated her the way they did, but I also think that they cared for her since the Marquess did (this also explains why they tried to push her away, they knew that she was forcefully pulled into the life of a Marchioness and did not want to feel the burden of losing someone else in their family, so that Shuli could run away just like they had heard of in the rumors the other family members spread) Kind of like a love-hate relationship. However, some of this is speculation, but this is what I could piece together from the story. The story is complex and requires a bit of thinking to piece the story together; quite different from other time travel manhwa I've read, but I believe it's an incredibly well written story. I hope this helps.
