This manga has a lot of potential, story is something I’ve been looking for, and the art is beautiful. This could turn into an amazing book that hopefully changes some of the world’s conservative views. I feel that if MC can decide for themself and not feel too pressured by the others, that would be best. The other characters would also learn to accept this, and maybe still have the same feelings toward MC even after their decision, whatever it may be. That could serve as a great eye opener to people that ‘love is blind.’ Also, that gender is a label you decide whether or not you need it.
My thoughts: What if everything is just MC’s illusion formed from their ambiguity and uncertainty? Feeling the stigma of society and forced to do something is uncomfortable. What if, in the end, it was MC that was differentiating and focusing on gender too much? In reality, everyone wasn’t all what they were labeled. MC felt unfamiliar with this, and unable to accept that MC themself was also like the others. Therefore MC created an illusion to limit everyone else so that MC could accept what they saw. After all, MC says “I don’t like change.” Tbh, idk. I usually overthink when something intrigues me and end up coming to the wrong conclusion most of the time haha.
However this ends, I really praise the author for this story.
