To be honest, I want her to become a girl. Then she would date Ritsu instead. Please, Let me indulge this yuri experience. *Insert lenny face*

I really hope that at the end Hinase realizes they are fine just the way they are and remain agender.

Thanks for the update! It’s slow, but it’s nice to see that this hasn’t been dropped

I guess they don’t have patient privacy! What a mess. But I super love this story and look forward to more. Also team Ritsu.

This manga has a lot of potential, story is something I’ve been looking for, and the art is beautiful. This could turn into an amazing book that hopefully changes some of the world’s conservative views. I feel that if MC can decide for themself and not feel too pressured by the others, that would be best. The other characters would also learn to accept this, and maybe still have the same feelings toward MC even after their decision, whatever it may be. That could serve as a great eye opener to people that ‘love is blind.’ Also, that gender is a label you decide whether or not you need it.
My thoughts: What if everything is just MC’s illusion formed from their ambiguity and uncertainty? Feeling the stigma of society and forced to do something is uncomfortable. What if, in the end, it was MC that was differentiating and focusing on gender too much? In reality, everyone wasn’t all what they were labeled. MC felt unfamiliar with this, and unable to accept that MC themself was also like the others. Therefore MC created an illusion to limit everyone else so that MC could accept what they saw. After all, MC says “I don’t like change.” Tbh, idk. I usually overthink when something intrigues me and end up coming to the wrong conclusion most of the time haha.
However this ends, I really praise the author for this story.

I can't help but dislike the friends in this for what they are doing (or about to, in the girls case, going by the convo with her friend), the MC is clearly overwhelmed with it all, if gender choice could really be influenced by peer pressure they'd have all sorts of problems were people choose the wrong gender because they didn't want to loose contact with their friends or didn't want to disobey a parent or something else...

You are the first born, you will be a boy to carry on the family!

*shivers*

Not that this says anything about if choosing gender also cements your sexual preference in this fictional world! *stirs*

Edit: MC could just keep carrying on as they are and become intersex, which would be a rare issue to tackle.

Looking forward to more!

It's a really refreshing, eye-opening story about the complexity of gender(s). I hope new English chapter coming out soon. The Spain scanlation comes faster than the English one.
