@RandomUser92 It's not that though, this chairman is literally blood brothers with the first chairman of the other black market. That's the only reason he really knows of the ghost doctor. Look at the panel where she tells the servant that she has the surname "ghost", then after that servant goes to the chairman but only mentions the first degree "black" token and not of the name "ghost". Those two are the only ones who know who she is. That Xu guy I hope gets fucked up though ahahaha

well he likelly thought that the token was a really good fake.
he did not believe that the guy would have a legitimate token.

but yeah if he were to be wrong ( and we know he is ) he is going to be in very hot water.
at least he really should have waited until after he got to know who the owner was before trying it.

@Goldenzeal if he thought her token was a fake there would be no reason to steal it really.
I dont think he thought it was a fake, he took it and swap it out with another temporary, likely wanting to make a better fake with it.

Hence why he wanted to borrow it first even though the one in his hand was a fake one.
He feared that his owner might notice the difference and got very defensive when she asked if it was her token.

I don't really understand why she let them get away with it, seems like a stupid move if you ask me. Why didn't she confront them on the spot rather than letting them go ? I dont get it.

she does not care anymore, as she repaired her face, you can see the less care about hiding herself, but she try to hide that she is a female when going out as the ghost doctor, thats mostly because chinese doctors in old was male

@vaur my guess? It’s to screw him over. Can get a lot more worth out of him now that he’s run off with her token than if he was still in the premises and simply surrendered her token.

When MC got the 'black' token in chapter 36 it was not mentioned there was grade/degree to it nor was any blood spilt on it.
