Implication seems to be an elder elemental, possibly a piece of one, considering it has more abilities than just being water-like, since it was able to provide Amami the ability to understand and speak this world's languages.

You got to look in their perspective

For centuries humans were treated as nothing more than slaves only healing magic gave them equal footing as the rest of the other race.

Like for example how many humans do you think the mother dragon has killed ? How many village has she burnt ? She seems to be old enough to know the time before healing magic.

If the other species gets their own healing method what are the chances humans will end up being slaves again a hundred years from now ?

I mean the only reason why the other race ain't fking with the humans is because humans will stop sending their healers in the country if they do try start war with the humans.
