Long story short, this is a rather fun premise...OPMC in the modern world, tries to figure out how to use his magical abilities in a modern setting.
Prob is the author is an idiot teen. Whatever he immediately thinks is interesting or funny, will appear on paper.
"Lol, wouldn't it be funny if the idol of the school is actually a scumbag? And what if she's magical, lol? And then she tries to harass the MC for magic stuff?"

It's not even about the MC being naive or stupid. It's about the author forcing low-level comedy.

Cant have an overpowered character cause then they'll bitch, and you cant have a guy with some social problems that cant handle girls well, cause then he's a loser and a beta.

@dill4u I agree that the characters and the settings are interesting, however apart from the way he handled his former bullies, I find the MC's behaviour to be quite appaling, especially towards girls.

Someone who defeated a demon lord ought to be more sensible, in my opinion.
