@wewedamdam The witches fled to the moon to avoid the witch hunts and left Chloe to die because she took a human apprentice. I don't think he cared for them much at all.

Ok, now that thats out of my system, I don't think its a good idea for Adonis to bring Doroka along, its like bringing a conscientious objector to a war zone, yeah they might help, or they might drag you down or even actively obstruct you.
I also think Doroka and Adonis don't understand the others' point. Doroka thinks Adonis wants to kill every single human, but he probably doesn't, at the very least leaving the innocent children, and Adonis isn't thinking about how he can just kill the leaders and bring major social reform after that, which probably isn't exactly Doroka's opinion on how to do that, but still (witches always seem to be underdeveloped for how old their bodies are, but maybe thats just a part of being NPCs in a manga).

I don't necessarily disagree with Doraka, but I don't think she fully conceives of the massive task she would have to undertake. Reconciliation requires admission of guilt, do you think ANYONE would want take responsibility this: untold number of rapes and murders, war crimes, the pure evil that humans unleashed out of simple fear, fear that wasn't even substantiated! And what would the witches have to say sorry for, being alive? Honestly, humanity is at fault, there really isn't any question as far as the story is written so far. Even if it was all the machinations of another witch ultimately (which is kind of fucked up in a meta sense to make a witch responsible for the extinction of witches), there is and was an entire society of people who would commit or suborn genocide. Well, maybe omnicide at this point.
Where does Doroka even start? Are witches just supposed to take it on the chin when humanity won't even acknowledge their crimes? I mean fuck there are no witches to even accept the apology in the first place! I don't think there's any real restitution other than dismantling their society that was built on their blood and spending eternity in mourning.
Which brings me to Adonis, I've been on a rollercoaster with his character, he's gone from boring edgy MC, to genuinely heroic to absolute piece of shit. There's absolutely no justification for what he had done, and frankly he is at this point as much guilty of exterminating the witches as the rest of humanity. He might as well have put a bullet in Chole as well. All this talk of "revenge is proof Chole was alive" is bullshit. HE is is LITERAL proof that she existed, protecting his life should be the number one priority. If he actually cared about her memory instead of using it as an excuse to justify his murders. It's not even about forgiveness, I would NEVER forgive that happening to me, but he's endangering the one thing Chole even loved in that world. It's a tragedy.
Though on second thought, if Doroka had never warned Adonis that they wanted to use Chloe as a means of taking revenge, Adonis may have never led humans there to begin with. He was probably going to escape with her in the same way before he decided to let his mentor rest. I'd honestly would like a side chapter or an alternate reality one shot if he brought Chole back and they made it back to earth.
A lot of word for nothing, but this manga definitely pushes my buttons and I want to see it through.

He's said several times he wanted to kill all of humanity, and I think there's panel early on where he domes a child in the street with a magic gatling gun.

Man, revenge or forgiveness? Revenge is easy if you have the power to do so but forgiveness don't work like that. You have to make it work both ways and the humans of that mass can't change if one witch say they should.
Girl, you are living in a dream that can only become reality if the masterminds behind the hatred are to get rid of and even then you will find that still hate runs deeper than some one or two boss fights done and peace is achieved. The hatred have been drilled into the core of these humans after such long wars/hunts.
Die trying for peace(highly unlikely) or die trying for revenge, the only thing mc can do now is cause as much damage as possible to satisfy his thirst for revenge and take the major big bads with him to his grave. Other option destroyed everything.
Or if the peace you want it will come after he has done the clean up of major human big bads.
Witches are already done.
Could even go the big bad for all route which might make the remaining witches join with human to end the big bad mc but after his defeat the future will still be questionable.

This story is a train wreck and everyone in it is a psycho
The MC is talking mad shit about wiping out humanity but he got his ass handed to him by a few squads from one city
Naruto girl is upset about the MC's killing spree but got everyone murdered by stopping the MC from finishing off that crazy sword dude. She made no effort to help her comrades even though she could have and didn't seem to care that she was literally wading in their bloody by the end
Crazy sword dude wanted revenge for his sister even though she screwed herself
Crazy sword dude's equally crazy sister tried to activate that global cancer dispenser to be useful to her brother... which makes no sense because it would blatantly kill him too
The queen turns out to be some cameo from a series nobody's heard of
Plus everyone else is just cartoonishly evil, to the point where the general public enjoys recording a bunch of soldiers shoot a half naked woman into swiss cheese. The king then decapitates her. Nobody is the least bit grossed out by this. Totally believable. 9/10 of the characters may as well have moustaches to twirl
