For me, it's the prince trying to be better than princess, but she has outerworld knowledge and freedom to do what she pleases a part regular scolding that does nothing a part overthinking.

Oooh, if Allie is at the center of this it could be something totally different, like, perhaps he was trying to gain recognition by condemning an 'evildoer' in public? Although, even with how he has been shown, that seems like an achievement much too small to be of any value to him... I'm still betting on suggestion and manipulation of powerful emotions. He may have been manipulated and driven to this by his jealousy of his sister and her achievements. It is peculiar that he would so openly display his rage, given that he was still the only choice for the throne and he would have to keep that sorta thing on the down-low to maintain his reputation. I'm very into this.
