The anime has already gone ahead of the translation and likely will "finish" before the manga. I don't expect the anime will get a 2nd season though.

At least it's not an isekai since he just reincarnates and he was originally in a fantasy world, the reincarnation is essentially just a means for time travel he could just as well have gone to sleep for 2000 years or have actually time travelled 2000 years in the future....

He doesn't get cheat abilities, he was already very powerful though how he got so powerful will likely never be explained...

All in all it's another lazy shounen fantasy harem romance. It must be a lot harder than it seems to make a story with some depth that actually makes sense considering the amount of those we get every year. I mean fantasy doesn't have to be senseless, it's a world with different rules so you have to imagine those rules first and then don't allow the characters to break them instead make them use the rules creatively to win. The harem part isn't the issue either I'm a guy I love a good harem 😄 I just wish the girls had some depth, some strength of character, some spirit instead of being dolls with a stereotype pasted on them. The protagonist arrives and either right now or two chapters later they are all over him... could make him work for it a little bit more I think.

Well as I've read once editors don't want originality from authors since originality is unpredictable in terms of sales. Instead they want what they've already sold in a million different variants because they can more or less predict how it will sell. OK sorry for ranting, happens at least once every year...
