I almost cried at that last panel. And they better catch that rat bastard.
I think the author and the artist do a marvelous job portraying the characters, cuz little Leslie and her new family are all so precious and sweet. It's been a while since I read a comic with a character THIS precious. Like I can never get over them showing her mannerisms... when she's sitting down and swings her legs cuz she's happy. When she was bummed about her cookie boat being melted by the hot cocoa, and didn't want to try again, but they made a new cookie that wouldn't melt, and everyone waited for her to try it again so they could applaud her. 😭 My tearssssssss. Like you can actually see what makes her so lovable, and how everyone is ready to give hell to anyone who messes with her. I feel the character interactions are pretty good. Not perfect, but definitely not so forced feeling like some others. (Maybe cuz the others I'm thinking of are more of a comedy)
Anywho, this gives me the same feel that Matilda did. A smart, sweet, powerful little girl who finally gets a loving family. Such a satisfying movie. And this webtoon gives me that same satisfying feeling as when I first watched Matilda.
