@Tatsuya-Kai I was genuinely interested. Although getting only one youtuber in a beanie is somehow disappointing, I respect the "compare opposite views" stance.
Your strategy of making up assumptions and then pulling the "I won't reply to you again" card is kinda cringe, but whatever. Just one thing:
your disdain for the right seems to border on fanatical
You're only half right (heh) on this one. I hate all politicians and parties.

Me too, man. I was tricked into eating well-done steaks until my cousin opened my eyes some years ago.

Yes i said i wouldn't reply but i feel i need to one last time.

i don't disagree with you at all on political factioning (i'm registered independent, though i lean right), i despise both parties in the us and believe we need true third parties, but for now we're stuck with 2.
Another problem with suggesting a source is that everyone has biases, myself included, i suggested tim pool because he's literally the most middle of the road you can find, otherwise you will have people who are politically alligned, and in the long run, not trying to be rude, it's hard to not only trust people not to do their damnedest to shut people down (already had it happen to a couple of ones i read), but to know what someone will take as logical and legitimate, so essentially, the only logical choice for me, is to mention the one most in the center, which is tim pool, anyone else is biased and falls under the "do the legwork yourself" situation, because your own views will color your view of anything not in the center.

As for why i wanted to not say a thing and walk away, it's simple, i don't want to get into a political debate on a manga forum, i have plenty of other places to do that at, and i'd really rather not involve my terrible isekai and romance manga in that.

My reason for posting here originally is because i have a specific history with yahoo, it being the first website i ever visited, so i felt like i kinda had to comment on it, i will say that the polarization is dangerous, this is the kind of thing that causes civil conflicts to break out, hopefully it calms down after the election but i have my doubts.

i've enjoyed watching him slowly change from never wanting to own firearms to now having several, saying he'd never vote for Trump to now saying he most likely will and don't even get me started on his civil war speeches lmao kinda miss his ice cream analogies though he hasn't used them in a while.

Non-biased journalism isn't hard to find at all. NPR and AP are right there. If you think those are biased then you're projecting.

Shutting down the conversation quick, eh?

There is a slight bias in NPR, but it is still decent. AP is pretty good at not being biased.

@IAmTheFed There's no point in a conversation with someone who says a report of exactly what happened is "biased reporting." Better to close the door to that conversation before it even starts.

In fairness' sake though, I have seen the general consensus on the two being that they're both slightly left of center. Don't get me wrong though, I think they're good sources as well. Most certainly more trustworthy than most established media.

@bigtiddyoneesan general consensus from who? Folks right of center?

I suggest checking out the Ad Fontes Media Bias Chart if you haven't already.

I also forgot to mention Reuters as non-biased media.

Even in the Ad Fontes Media Chart you referenced, they're technically left of center. That's what I meant. The skew is inconsequential enough to put them very close to the exact center, though.

As for Reuters, based on the same chart, it would technically be very slightly right of center. Not trying to argue semantics, as I realize that it doesn't really make a difference, and I'd still consider them center personally. I just thought I'd point it out earlier.

@bigtiddyoneesan The skew is so small it's inconsequential. Barely 1 point of bias for AP and not even a whole point of bias for Reuters. They are essentially non-biased. Compare it to stuff like NBC (left 10 bias) or Fox (right 20 bias). NPR has a bias of left 3, which is admittedly larger than I thought, but still tiny. For instance, the weather channel has a left 2 bias.

Also, not sure which version of the graph you're looking at, but Reuters has a left .6 bias.

What? Tim Pool is no moderate.

Tim Poole is so waaaaayyyy far out there, I think he's nuts. He's literally preaching "radical left", spouting "reasonable" then saying something retarded or selectively reporting news and "SJW sucks" every SINGLE video.

Besides, look who he hangs out with. Am I supposed to NOT believe he's far right biased when he's got friends in the Alt Right like these guys and Baked Alaska, the Neo Nazi?

That's a CENTRISM reddit calling him out on the blatant fact this pic suggests Tim Pool has major bias btw. These are politically moderately or very conservative reddit people. You can tell by the comments after they saw the pic, they all know Tim Pool's is no political moderate trying to see all sides.

I agree, they are tiny to the point that it could go from left 3 to right 3 and you wouldn't notice a difference.

@Richman
I'm sure the weather channel has a bias because they pull degenerate shit like this:

If you want to call regular people pointing out inaccuracies and omitted info as "right wing gaslighting", then you're free to do so. Aside from any anecdotal evidence provided by you or me, you can look up the bias of Yahoo News anywhere and you'll find that it's on the left.

The fact of the matter is that responses to published articles are now nonexistent on the site. If something like this were to occur to any right wing media outlet, I would be saying the same thing.
