It's common to see a manga that the main character is being targeted by other bad guys so I don't know why are you even complaining. I know to see another kind is kinda boring but Youjo senki is far different from other.
If you are even complaining about political and stuff then let me tell you this manga has such bad thing because it is an Anti war anime. The more disgust people feel about the manga the more succes it is in transport the message: War suck.
If you watch anime you will see a nice war with death but very few blood and absolute hide what a war really is, the anime is all about a strong salary man trying to get rich by getting in the army then trying to go the the back to enjoy life but got ficked up by God sl have to do a bunch of stuff. It only show that the Empire is superior to other countries and Tanja is trong and is a crazy that's it.
The manga tell you each people, the way everything Tanja said are the main reason she always have to move around and risk her life. The way she is the reason for many battle.
Arene: The republic learn her tactic at the previous attack at the marine base so they wanted to use it against her.
Attack enemy HQ: She suggest use the cannon to send Mages so far.
Mary: Her father was killed by Tanya.
Most recently in Anime and will be in the manga soon: The Russie attack that city because a pervert want her so he said that they can't let the team that attack their capital alive so they send a big army her way.
Yep all that good thing about the manga being an Anti War manga that would still made the manga get slammed but you know what ? It's Japan. What are you even expecting ? They have a bunch of other scarier stuff that also guro that even adult could be scared. This is nothing. And it also not about the WW1 because no real country is mentioned in this. They dodge the bug bullet by giving countries different name and different leader.
Bias driven by tanya being a dressed like the most hated army of history and not giving a damn about collateral damages...

I mean come on, we start with a WW1 style frontline war and it progresses in an axis vs alliance world war where the germans somehow never involve the russians and the japanese dont do pearl harbor, as if this couldnt happen with politics of that era, the fact that russia was led by COMMIES which are natural ennemies of any empire...

there's the happy mish mash of riveted late 20's tanks mixed with stock shots of 1940's tech and 1910's artillery and uniforms... The inconsistency of this thing, the cluttered art style and ambiguous choices by the author leads to bias, it's just normal.
As for the loli content... f**k. there's something seriously wrong with "realistic/tacticool" battle magical girl mangas authors. the other one i've found has torture, ryona, mind break and is bordering on hardcore porn at points.
In europe you'd be in the slammer for pulling out psycho shit like that.
