What actual threat was there to her telling Philia in their more than a decade alone together training? Helped with what after?
All she needed was to tell Philia and give the smallest amount of affection.
Adopting Mia is going to hurt Philia even if she doesn't find out the truth.

You're right.
You said 'initial plan'

The rest of my post remains the same because it doesn't change what I meant that you're wrong about that still.
Hey, just to let you know: I'm fed up with this discussion, as from my pov it seems to mostly be about semantics. Take that in whatever way you want to. This is just to inform you that and why there won't be any more responses from me.

I appreciate that you have been mostly respectful (we both had a few sharp points, but that's part of the fun, as long as there are no annoying ad hominems) and hope we'll be able to communicate freely and unburdened by this exchange, should we encounter each other again in the future.

Hilda wanted Philia to be self sufficient, regardless of what happened. She didnt foresee any threat with the demon world but Hilda did suffer through a traumatic experience thanks to her family and the indolent nobility, just wanted her to be ready for anything that came her way. You guys will know more details later on :p.

Regardless of the sucess of the plan to replace the prince or a continent wide ward, the country is screwed since the nobles running the government (treasury and foreign affairs were mentioned here) are corrupt and need to be replaced. That's not an easy task.
Given that all of them are going to this one house to drink and party unarmed soon, the first steps might be easier~than~you~think~

Okay, first, as an older sibling I felt that way too hard.

Second, I didn't need any more reasons to hate Mia's parents, but here we are.

Third, I cannot wait for the sweet, sweet revenge that's coming. Mia has far too many allies for it not to happen.

Huh. I was not expecting that plot twist. That really was quite the shitty family. It really sounds like they should have nipped this problem in the bud from a long time ago.

At least Philia has a mother now and Mia's actual parents are getting screwed.

Why exactly are we trying to save the people of this country again, because now the circle of "bad people" has expanded from Julius, most of the nobility that support him and the Adenauers in particular to everyone that believed the rumours about Hildegard despite seeing her everyday deeds as a saintess? At this point it'd be easier to just evacuate the innocent citizens to other countries and let the rest enjoy the consequences of their decisions.

Mia and friends should just bounce and leave the country. Once the monsters start coming in and kill the populace, it would definitely become a catalyst for revolution. The incompetent-ass prince along with his bad noble entourage would have to deal with not only the monsters but also the angry mob right at their doorstep. At best, they will end up in a guillotine, at worst the mob will rip them apart and spread their heavily-torn cadaver across the street.

Once the ass prince has been dealt with, First Prince Fernando will "call upon" the Parnacotta knights to come and protect the people from the incoming monster onslaught. That should buy enough time for Philia and the rest of the saints to erect the barrier across the continent.
