@Hatyna some of girls are simply misunderstood heroines.

https://mangadex.org/title/45491/re...rich-villainess-she-s-actually-just-penniless for example - Reiko is pretty much a by the book sweetheart shoujo heroine who is being bullied by a girl who keeps calling her a villainess.

https://mangadex.org/title/29177/lady-rose-wants-to-be-a-commoner - Lady Rose actually IS the heroine and decided to take the bad end and let the villainess win so she could get out of her engagement to the prince and be free of the nobility. The problem is, that was a great plan if she were the villainess, but since she's the heroine, all she did is open up all the other routes simultaneously.

Is it just me or was this whole arc very dumb?

"Wait, that was the whole conversation?
We are so DUMB!
Hope we don't have to sacrifice a small children every time otherwise... buying that orphanage will have been a good investment!"

Just change "sacrificing a small children" with "leaping to our deaths".

Damn, I just hope she start using her memories of the previous life to develop the country instead of it just being a setting that makes no difference...

@Richman
Yes, it was.
That not only made it more like a real depiction of a romance also that is why it was so fun.

... Finally the massive misunderstanding is over with... This is probably the most cliche, shoujo thing on my list... Well, right now, I feel brain dead from my math homework, so maybe cliche and nothing-but-fluff isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it's using some of the more annoying tropes out there, like the way too passive FL, the issues that could be solved by a few sentences (and not by jumping off a cliff), and the perfect ML, flirty handsome guy that tries to step into a pre-established relationship,etc. (Okay, maybe the last one isn't that common, I've only seen it like... 3-5 times before. But it annoys me quite a bit if the FL doesn't push him away quickly enough. Like a half-assed refusal doesn't cut it, Ms. Mary Sue...)

@FStubbs

I'm also currently reading those two, but the reason why those don't feel as cloying is because one is a comedy (Reiko), and the other is a heroine that wants to get the fuck out of there.

The heroines I'm talking about are from generic otome games/mangas etc. where the MC that you play has no personality other than sweet girl. The MC you play is more of a bystander. Or even worse, the ones that have traits/skills that the content does not make use of.

I tend to avoid those ones, so the only one I can recall at the moment is Kamigami no Asobi. Yui knows how to use a sword. Hell, she's transported to the fantasy world because of touching a sword. But then it never comes up again. She never has to use a sword because all the LIs are literal gods.

Not saying that heroines need to be badass and everything, but it feels like making your own character, then ignoring their backstory entirely.

I REGISTER MYSELF FOR REVERSE HAREM ROUTE CUZ WHY NOT. anyway thanks for the chapter, though it's kind of plain but at least one of the problem solved and there's no negative thoughts of the FL :(

So the prince has to share his girl with the fairy king, even though he's abducted her without permission on multiple occasions? Lame.

And somehow even after all the fighting they're all totally fine with it.

Aannnd at this point I might be dropping it too. Stop treating her as an object, please??? Yeah, the "this is a fight between men, don't interfere" is really aggravating and there's literally nothing that makes me more annoyed than that. I just... I was hoping for something that didn't devolve into another generic fantasy shoujo, and as someone who does play otome games, she really is starting to resemble the otome heroines that are the blandest of the bland staples of the genre. Whoever it was that told us readers to drop this story after the school arc was right, sadly.

Is it just me or does it seem like Tiara's personality gets weaker with each chapter. I've gone from actively rooting for her to sighing whenever I see a new chapter.

I liked Keith better when he played the part of trickster flirt & instigator/shit starter (antagonist who lights a fire under Aquasteed to help his relationship with Tia grow), but now I feel he’s just an unwanted third wheel and needs to fuck off.

Here's hoping she'll develop to a queen that serves the people and country, and for the story to be written not lazily, skipping that character development just to make room for lovey dovey scenes.

I wonder if the previous kings, whose queens were also liked by the fairy king, also had this duel.

I wish Tiara was stronger willed. She's really starting to aggravate me with the whole woe-is-me helpless maiden shtick. I understand her fears, but she has had so many opportunities to see that her anxieties were unfounded.

Aquasteed reassures her all the time, and constantly displays nothing but devotion. To me, if feels like Taira is the one hurting them. It's like she doesn't have any faith in him, and by extension, their relationship. Every time she feels bad about herself or the situation she's in, she runs away. It's so frustrating. Be stronger. Make your feelings heard when you have an issue. She just let this whole thing fester, and didn't even really protest that much when Kieth "kidnapped" her. She's making herself unhappy and Aquasteed is unhappy too because of it.

Tbh, I'd drop this if it wasn't for the artwork. I might not like the FL but the artwork is so pretty. Major kudos to the artist.

Keith is misogynistic as fuck, seriously don't know what people see in him. Tiara constantly being a crying damsel in distress doesn't help either, jesus christ.
