I wonder if in the original time line the aristocratic faction won. Cause the prince eventualy married Isis. It also seems like they have a monopoly on many Industries. While now Aria using her knowledge of the future to make big waves in the financial market. Hitting the aristocrats in their weak spot aka their wallet

I suppose we can only hope that the hiatus won't be too long... Or that chapters suddenly don't disappear.
In the case of Veri... Yeah, it's true she's being unfairly treated, but at no point has Aria ever shown to be anything other then rather petty, especially to those she knows think less of her. Veri was placed as Aria's maid in order to spy, likely because Annie didn't work out since she was easily won over by Aria, and it's rare that Aria needs to tell Annie to play as her hype man with the rest of the servants. I do wonder though what Veri is getting as a result of trying to spy for Mielle as I don't think that's been very clear, especially after what happened with the carriage. Mielle's word alone shouldn't be enough to sway someone from doing anything harmful, which we know is coming, since the prospect of getting caught is clearly there. If this series was more of some kind of redemption for Aria, Veri would probably end up doing a face heel turn and just confessing to Aria about the spying. Aria would then say she knew, have Veri plant some info to Mielle and then do something that gets Mielle in trouble and the nanny gone. But that's not it apparently and that's okay, because while Aria definitely has a high charisma stat, it's also definitely not maxed out. Her getting so many on her side who might not normally be would be a bit much.
At the end of the day, Aria is a bitch and that's why we like her, but not why we root for her. I think there is enough subtext to suggest that she's actually quite lonely making her read as much more sympathetic then she might otherwise. My only real wish for this series was a proper antagonist that wasn't just Aria's bad reputation. If spoilers are to be believed, even Isis ain't all that which is frustrating.
