Really nice to see gender and sex handled so carefully in manga, rare. The (end) in the title threw me for a loop, just the volume ending, right?

Wow that suddenly got pretty real. And then immediately bounced back. And then immediately became real again. But actually, that does reveal quite a bit about the nature of their relationship. Seems like Lloyd isn't in this love triangle out of love. So he'll probably back out once someone else comes along and relieves his guilt. Or not. Who really knows. There are 10 volumes out right now and it seems like he's in at least 2 more of them, judging by the covers

This such an important chapter in this story, I'm re-reading it and knowing how things play out it makes a lot of sense. A subtle difference is that Rei as a boy has a tattoo on his left cheek, it's no longer there when he becomes a girl.

Also despite Rei saying she's a Wolf we only ever see a Swan as a 'spirit animal', Betty's a Cockatoo and Arsenio's a Penguin for comparison.
