@lead36 I mean, Hata dropped the illusion of daily vignettes like 20 days in, which is the whole point of the format. It just became "continue from x day as y days pass before timeskip to new scene on z day." The romantic leads met a total of maybe 6 times during all of those 100 days before their promised marriage. If you read the full story sans the countdown, it's a normal 1 volume manga that got axed. Here at least the countdown serves a narrative purpose in building suspense with each vignette.
I feel kinda bad for the other girl. It must feel like shit when the present you thoughtfully give someone is just ignored by them like that. Not like the MC has a choice being that he got two.
