Or, he could just date Tomo anyway. Modern weaponry's made Martial Arts (and melee weapons) obsolete in serious lethal engagements anyway. They're mostly for impromptu self defense situations and sporting events now anyways. Even then, skilled use of a technological device (including firearms, sprays, tasers, batons, etc.) can lead to victory anyways vs. a more physically capable opponent. Not to mention the biggest deterrence to would be attackers: society. Other people, security guards, police officers, cameras and GPS's everywhere (including smartphones) and basically the fact that if you cause trouble, you WILL be filmed and tracked, and a LOT of people with guns (who know how to use them) will probably track you down.
The most dangerous "martial art" nowadays is having money and fame. The safest people aren't the strongest, they're the richest. Especially those who are rich, and also well known.
