Admirable yet frustrating.

It would be really better if we don't need go through this but eh. Can't be helped.

Inb4 this will make Tomo rushing to her dojo to support Jun and goes Love Love Tenkyoken.

Can we skip to the part where Tomo kicks both of their asses and says she's the only one to decide who she can and can't date

Noone said he's only allowed to challenge the bugger only once..
And we all know how stubborn he is with anything he puts his mind to,
be it training, acting like a tree or acting like tomo aint a romantic interest. =p

Either Jun is going to re-challenge him so many times he eventually cracks, or Tomo is going to kick the crap out of both of them.

He didn't say he couldn't challenge him with a taser/elephant tranquillizer

I srill wonder why the hell Jun is legitimizing this stupid idea. And why Tomo doesn't give them both a piece of her mind.

The idea that he must fight over her like she's some prize to be awarded is utterly ridiculous.

Imagine that Jun wins after a brutal training arc, failed battles, and retraining arc, all that pent up frustration once that Jun wins is gonna be relieved explosively, I'm concerned that Tomo won't survive.

For real though, my prediction is that Tomo is involved in the win somehow. Either she fights along with Jun, or beats dad herself.

Because at the end of the day, Tomo is a prince of her own, not a lady-type damsel. Which was kinda the premise.

Or, he could just date Tomo anyway. Modern weaponry's made Martial Arts (and melee weapons) obsolete in serious lethal engagements anyway. They're mostly for impromptu self defense situations and sporting events now anyways. Even then, skilled use of a technological device (including firearms, sprays, tasers, batons, etc.) can lead to victory anyways vs. a more physically capable opponent. Not to mention the biggest deterrence to would be attackers: society. Other people, security guards, police officers, cameras and GPS's everywhere (including smartphones) and basically the fact that if you cause trouble, you WILL be filmed and tracked, and a LOT of people with guns (who know how to use them) will probably track you down.

The most dangerous "martial art" nowadays is having money and fame. The safest people aren't the strongest, they're the richest. Especially those who are rich, and also well known.

@Nayn More like Gorou doesn't want to let go of his precious daughter (I'm sure he would love grandchildren, though). Other than that, maybe he is, surprisingly enough considering his lack of wits, hoping to really make Jun the next head of the dojo as well, using this opportunity to push Jun to his limits.

Probs something like that. It'd be pretty clever of the author if he'd make it so "Jun can't lose in front of Tomo", just like Gorou "can't lose in front of his wife".
