are still being trained by the evil kingdom that summoned then to be child soldiers. Eventually one of the girls will get a bangle of control put on her, making her a slave. Other nations get tired of this kingdom's saber rattling and planning to attack, and go on the offensive, destroying the royals. Either during this or before, the kids escape, the enslaved girl gets her arm taken off, but it frees her from the enslavement. Sometime after this, Mokouda learns of the girl losing the arm and has a person deliver to them some of Sui's strongest healing potion, which regrows her limb. The three heroes find life outside of the kingdom harder but end up a polygamous relationship with each other.

The fact that this MC really isn’t growing or changing is so frustrating. They are going from endearing to annoying pretty fast, and the involvement of interesting aspects of the shop skill has dried up too.

Right? At first i was like, cut him some slack, he's weak.
But dude already knows how to use magic and he got 3 OP companions.
Why is he being stress about everything? He even got all them gods blessings.
If i were him, I'd just be thinking of what meat we can get from the dungeon since dats my job anyway.
I seriously hope he would just trust his companions. If not his baby slime or that pixie dragon, feru alone already enough.

Remember that he wants to keep his head down as much as possible. He doesn't want notoriety, fame, or greatness. He wants to live as peaceful life as he can. Getting stronger isn't his goal, it's Fel's and the gods, the latter because as he levels up, they can buy things from his market place. He will step up to help, like with the wyvern attack, and give Sui's medicine freely, but he is content to just wander around.

Also they don't collect meat from dungeons. The dungeon consumes the corpses in seconds.

Once again I’ll reiterate: he has already gone past that point. He is literally getting cross continent contracts by the guild on special order, what do you mean “Keep his head down”?! That is part of the frustrating aspect: why won’t he just say something lit “It’s really my familiars who do the work here, I’m only the handler.” that would be character development becasue he is taking the position of assigning himself a role, he is actually saying something. “Being content to wander around” is “not changing”, and simultaneously “saying nothing”.
As before he is buying new things from the market place, but not even thinking or planning about what things he can buy “Next”, thus he is lacking agency. So long as he is in this party and under the eye of the gods he will not live a “peaceful” life, but an actual character would then say “Well if this is the life I have to leave, what does peaceful actually mean in this world. I’ll strive for that”. Or even something like “Hey I want to be ‘bothered’ as little as possible so can you guys help me in a way where the threats of the world don’t even register for me? My heart can’t take it.” This would mean that he has a stated goal in a way of life, and there are stakes for the people around him. They “fail” if he gets “disturbed” and that is something that can happen despite their OP stats, right?
We need an actual statement out of this character. We need an actual character! Right now, he’s kinda like an item: has a function and is ever-present but unless being activated has no practical use or effect.

If you read the WN/LN you'll start to only care about the dumb shit they do since the food is repeated and the jokes like him being whiny happens so often. It will not improve anymore than him getting used to flying or getting really irritated about that elf stalking him.
