I had crocodile before, it ain't chicken. But it's closer to frog meat, which taste a chicken/fish but smoother. Monitor lizards are also close to crocodile. Either way, it depends on the cooking. More spice and ginger makes it taste better.

So if a wyvern taste like that, then probably will go well with dried chilli, ginger, onions and good dash of soy sauce. Make it like a 'Kung Pao Chicken' would probably make it nice. Hmmmm.

MC wants to see the world - not settle down. A manor wouldn't do him any good unless he can put it in his inventory.

Not special contacts and influences.

He doesn't need special contacts/influences - they wouldn't matter in another kingdom or continent. He'd rather not get into any political intrigue - he wouldn't want himself and Feru to be used. He also doesn't want Feru to destroy the kingdom if things go bad for them. The bare minimum contact he needs is people that help him make money (e.g. the guild, the people who dismantles monster corpses, and the merchant which he could sell things to), which he already has.

The favor he has with the gods is minor. He still has to work hard (on Feru's insistence) to make any use of them. For the most part, the favor is given in exchange for exotic sweets and pastries which he still has to spend money on. He's essentially buying the gods' blessings. Also, Feru mostly only favors him because of the food, which MC also has to spend money on.

Give the man a break. He wants to have his own bathtub.

I'm aware of what he wants to do. I'm also saying he's not very smart. He's got this kind of personality and wants to see the world. He's only going to not be horribly mangled even with divine intervention because he's the main character. His thinking is shallow, his ambitions are meager, and his self-respect low.

But he can make hamburgers so I guess he's a god. Onwards, to the world! With the bathtub!
